Hale Kai is on the 4th floor of the Windward Passage Condominiums... the view is spectacular! This comfortable home features a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. It’s fully-equipped with pots and pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. There’s a breakfast bar and a separate dining area that seats 4. The living room has a smart TV, streaming Prime video (using your own subscription) and an electric fireplace for your enjoyment as you look out over the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Hale Kai of course has WiFi. The whole front room, including kitchen, dining and living room, shares the view of the ocean. The bedroom faces the city view and has a queen size bed and its own private full bath. Hale Kai sleeps up to 4 people total. Enjoy the laid back lifestyle of Long Beach and the Peninsula! Hale Kai is one of the best locations you can find here – an easy walk to beach activities, the Discovery Trail or downtown. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. Miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides are just a few blocks away. The nearby Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with SandSations in July and the International Kite Festival in August. Besides the boardwalk there’s the paved Discovery trail that runs through the dunes north/south – it’s great for walking or bicycling. There’s miniature golf nearby, and the arcade and rides are just a couple blocks away. Hale Kai is close to the Bolstad beach approach, which is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and, of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. Hale Kai is front and center to all the fireworks displays in Long Beach and it's the place to be to see the best of the our world famous Kite Festival. There’s even more to explore on the rest of the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. Hike the trails at Beard’s Hollow – it’s a wonderful walk through the trees and past peaceful wetlands to the beach. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon. On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay. There’s lots of wildlife to see in our local parks too. Keep your eyes open for bald eagles – we see many of them here.

BIKES at Windward Passage Condominium:
Just a heads up on bike parking at Windward Passage Condominiums; bikes can be stored on the bike rack in front of the elevator [on each floor]. Please do not store bikes in the unit or on back decks.
If you have a locking bike rack on your vehicle, that would work as well. Bike's are not allowed to be locked to railings near front door or on back decks due to the HOA rules.

Guest Etiquette

  • No smoking of any kind is permitted in the condo or the building.
  • Please do not rearrange the furnishings. Look around and see if anything appears to be broken and report any problems right away.
  • There is one assigned covered parking space #3 and one uncovered #63. You can also park in any uncovered spot not marked ‘Reserved’. Don’t park along the driveway or along the back near the garbage enclosure.
  • No loud partying or boom boxes, please. The neighborhood loves to hear the sound of the ocean.
  • Please remember you are in a multi unit complex with people below and beside you.  Please don't slam doors or cabinets and remember quiet times are 10PM-8AM
  • Garbage needs to be properly disposed of. Please bag garbage in the bags provided and flatten any cardboard boxes.  Place trash in the dumpsters located in the parking lot.

  • The Visitors Bureau is a great source of information – their number is 360-642-2400. They’re happy to share information on events and activities. From outdoors to indoor our area has something for everyone. Our office offers free tide tables, visitors’ guides and restaurant recommendations.
  • For your safety, fireworks and beach fires are okay out on the beach, but not at the building. And only electric barbeques are allowed on the west side decks -- no propane or charcoal BBQs.

Cancellation Policy
A reservation is a commitment on our part to hold your accommodations open for you arrival and is a request for us to turn away any other potential guests on the requested dates. It is an agreement telling us that you are willing to be completely responsible for payment for those dates even if your plans or circumstances change.

Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. If you cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in, they'll get back 50%. Otherwise, you won't get a refund. If you cancel with less than 30 days notice we will make every effort to re-book the house for those dates. You may receive a pro-rated refund if we can re-book part of your reservation; otherwise your payment is forfeited. There will be no refund for early departures or inclement weather...under any circumstances.

Should the reserved accommodations become unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Landlord's control, Landlord will offer to cancel and refund the payment. Other accommodations, if available may be reserved at the rates then current.
